May, 29th - June 1st, 2025 (Ascension Day)
International Software Craft and Testing Conference - for Families
We are planning 3 days (Thursday to Saturday) of a family-centred unconference. Wednesday and Sunday will be travel days. It takes time to arrive, settle in and say hello to others. The same goes for everyone travelling home.
By family-centred we mean half a day of regular unconference (open space) and half a day of family time. There will be a marketplace in the morning for 2 sessions in the morning. The afternoon is completely free with no scheduled programme. Families can go for a walk together, others can go to the playground, others can try the risky adventure of kayaking down the Rhine. Feel free to organise yourself!
We have chosen a location that offers a wide range of activities for families. The resort is close to a swimming lake, has an indoor swimming pool, playground, board games, football pitch, games rooms with lots of balls and many outdoor activities close to the resort.
Pradas Resort is designed for families and offers apartments of different sizes to suit your individual needs. Baby beds can be arranged at the time of booking.
Several rooms are available for your imagination during the workshop hours. Organise a technical session, share something from your field of work with others, or create a play session with the children. The rooms are equipped with a projector or TV and flipcharts.
SoCraTes Family Switzerland follows the Conference Code of Conduct laid out by several conference organisers around the globe. We ask that you read the full version before attending. You are expected to comply with the code throughout the event to ensure a safe environment for all.
Our conference is committed to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, size, race or religion. We will not tolerate any form of harassment of conference participants. Sexual language and imagery is inappropriate at all conference venues, including talks, workshops, parties and other online media. Conference delegates who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without refund at the discretion of the organisers.
