Our Idea
We have experienced many amazing SoCraTes conferences around the world and kept asking ourselves: why not extend the experience and invite our families along?
SoCraTes Family Switzerland is planned as a family-friendly unconference with three full conference days from Thursday to Saturday and a relaxed trip home on Sunday. Families are welcome to arrive as early as Wednesday evening, giving everyone enough time to settle in and connect with others before the conference starts.
By family-friendly, we mean balancing inspiring conversations with quality time together. Each morning will feature a classic SoCraTes-style Open Space with a marketplace and two sessions. The afternoons are intentionally left unscheduled.
Spend the time however you like: explore the area with your family, meet others at the playground, go hiking, relax by the lakes, or take on the slightly adventurous idea of kayaking downstream. The goal is to create space for both meaningful exchange and shared experiences.
Organise yourselves, follow your curiosity, and enjoy the time together.

Our Location
The conference will be held in Brigels, Switzerland. We will be staying in separate small apartments at the family friendly Pradas Resort.

The Resort
We have chosen a location that offers a wide range of activities for families. The resort is close to a swimming lake, has an indoor swimming pool, playground, board games, football pitch, games rooms with lots of balls and many outdoor activities close to the resort.

The Apartments
Pradas Resort is designed for families and offers apartments of different sizes to suit your individual needs. Each family simply rents their own apartment directly at the resort; baby beds can be arranged at the time of booking.

Session Locations
Several session rooms are available during the Open Space mornings. Run a technical session, share something from your field of work, or host a play session with the children. The rooms are equipped with a projector or TV and flipcharts.
The interactive map is provided by Google Maps and is only loaded with your consent, because Google may store data on your device.
Code of Conduct
SoCraTes Family Switzerland follows the Conference Code of Conduct laid out by several conference organisers around the globe. We ask that you read the full version before attending. You are expected to comply with the code throughout the event to ensure a safe environment for all.
Our conference is committed to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, size, race or religion. We will not tolerate any form of harassment of conference participants. Sexual language and imagery is inappropriate at all conference venues, including talks, workshops, parties and other online media. Conference delegates who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without refund at the discretion of the organisers.
